Cut Intan Auliannisa Isma is a peace and conflict researcher with a background in international relations, peacebuilding, gender, and development. Her work focuses on understanding peace and conflict through people's lived experiences, community knowledge, and critical approaches to peace and social change. She holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from The University of Queensland, with a pathway in Gender, Peace and Development.

Her academic and professional journey has been shaped by an interest in peace and conflict in Indonesia, particularly in the context of post-conflict Aceh. Her master's thesis examined everyday peace and the reintegration of Inong Balee in post-conflict Aceh, while her academic training included gender, peace and security, conflict resolution, peacebuilding, security and development, and Indigenous politics.

Intan brings more than nine years of experience across programme management, research, policy advocacy, capacity building, and partnership development. As Program Manager at the Institute of International Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada, she led the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of more than 40 institutional programmes and contributed to research and advocacy projects involving government institutions, civil society organisations, and international partners.

Her research and professional experience also spans disarmament, arms control, digital activism, climate crisis, humanitarian action, and regional peace and security. She has worked with organisations and institutions including KONEKSI, the Stop Killer Robots coalition, ICAN, Tifa Foundation, Nonviolence International Southeast Asia, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. Through these engagements, she has worked across research, facilitation, policy advocacy, programme management, and regional collaboration.
