Dialogue Empathy Ecology Peace EnGender (DEEP EnGender) is an Indonesian non-profit organization working at the intersections of gender justice, ecological justice, youth leadership, and the rights of Indigenous Peoples. Guided by Indigenous and local knowledge and informed by feminist, decolonial, and critical perspectives, we approach our work with a commitment to dialogue, empathy, and peace.
We address social and ecological challenges through community-led initiatives, transformative learning, engaged research, and cross-sector collaboration. Working alongside communities, civil society, academic institutions, and other partners, we strengthen community agency, nurture locally grounded initiatives, and foster reciprocal knowledge exchange. A central aim is to ensure that community knowledge and lived experience meaningfully inform policy and public dialogue at local, national, and international levels.
DEEP EnGender was officially registered as a non-profit organization under the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights, No. AHU-0005146.AH.01.04.Tahun 2024, and accredited to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), No. 1356/2026.
